Chances are, search if you’ve stumbled into a club, recuperation wobbled at a party, unhealthy or looked into the light at a festival in the past two years, you’ve been inadvertently exposed to the Bag Raiders. Now the Australian-residing producers Chris Stracey and Jack Glass are finally ready to deliver their long overdue and lovingly anticipated debut self-titled album in January next year.
After dropping singles on Bang Gang 12″s (‘Fun Punch’, ‘Turbo Love’) and remixing the likes of Cut Copy, Midnight Juggernauts and Kid Sister, the twos reputation grew internationally, and when they released a track titled ‘Shooting Stars’ they reached every corner of the world, making them a name amongst in-the-know kids, the sweaty dance faithful, and DJs across the globe. The video for ‘Shooting Stars’ has been viewed over 1 million times on YouTube
Bag Raiders transcends typical dance and pop boundaries, showcasing the creativity of a band at the forefront of modern production. The album will appeal to fans new and old, coming correct with sing-a-long choruses, deep-breath anthems, blissful chill and pure dancefloor energy. In Australia, the album achieved a Top 10 debut, and has spawned massive radio airplay for the first official single off the album ‘Way Back Home’, which was accompanied by a video directed by Kris Moyes (Cut Copy, Beck, Hercules And Love Affair, Wolfmother, Sia).
