Andre

Samuel Proffitt & Josh Jacobson – “Andre”

The rising electronic artists Josh Jacobson and Samuel Proffitt recently combined their talents to drop this sentimental, slow song called “Andre.” Sensual vocals and pensive percussion make this one just right for a quiet night in. If you’re looking a smooth and soulful track, definitely throw this one on.

Elohim

Wheathin grabbed my attention a few months back with an awesomely catchy remix of Opia’s “Fallin.” This made me look back on his catalogue of remixes. What I found was a goldmine of energetic electronic music. It’s pretty impressive, considering he’s only 17.

Wheathin is the alias of Chicago’s Ethan Snoreck, a name you should become familiar with if you’re not already. He’s received a lot of praise from artists and blogs alike for his massive mixes of “Blase,” “Suicide,” and “City Of The Rose” just to name a few.

Delivering a refreshing breath of air to the EDM world, South Central new track offers high energy drops that are sure to be making hearts race in raves across the country. If you dig what you hear I’ve included a highly hyphy remix by a producer called Apocalypto out of Melbourne. Check them out.

NGHTMRE

Last month NGHTMRE hit the world with his uplifting electronic hit “Holdin’ On To Me,” and now we get to relive the ecstasy of that track with this fresh remix by Snugs. While preserving the funk filled vocal sample of the original tune, Snugs adds in his own flavor of sporadic electronic drums and refreshing melodic interludes. Be ready to chill when you press that play button.

ohmy

Like shattered glass in slow motion, ohmy ruptures the status quo with their New Noise gem “doap.” A potent concoction of dreamy future bass and head banging hard trap, ohmy even conjures tannins of drum ‘n’ bass for the intricate and soulful debut opus.

K.Flay – FML (KRNE Remix)

KRNE and K. Flay are a musical duo made in heaven. And this dance-ready remix of K. Flay’s “FML” has it all. K. Flay’s original builds until epic, stabby backing chords, courtesy of KRNE, come in to seal the deal. It’s an excellent remix that resonates with me both on the songwriting and EDM production levels. I think you will really dig it.
